We took my 4 yr old shopping for clothes earlier this week. He has been telling me for awhile now what brand of clothing and shoes he wanted. Of course I said ok Lil man whatever you want. Thinking when we go shopping he will pick out something like spider man batman you know normal 4 yr old clothing. Boy was I wrong he knew what he wanted. Since when do 4 yr olds know anything about style and name brand clothes. His first day of prek was today he picked out clothing that matched his shoes put on deodorant, cologne, brushed his teeth, and damped his hair and combed it. The teacher said he was very well behaved. He got home from school changed into old clothes and shoes by himself without being told that I know is very unusual for him usually I spend alot of my time arguing with a brick wall. Another way I am in trouble with him that I laughed at and blew off until this last week is well where we live they have a 3 yr old program in the public school that gives them advanced learning opportunity to prepair them for school. Ok anyways he went to that last year and got his first girlfriend well she moved out of town about 30 min away. Her grandmother knows my mom his grandmother so she gives her grandmother pictures of her to send to my son. She is absolutely adorable so at least I know he has good taste. Unfortunately while it is all laughable and cute now I really worry what is in store when he is older and it is not so cute anymore. Now name brands are affordable at his age but as he gets older they can range from affordable to extremely pricey I blame commercials. The good hygiene is extremely good so no worries there. I hope he continues to behave himself in school so no worries there. Taking care of and caring about his clothing and shoes is very encouraging I doubt that lasts long though. The girlfriend thing is kinda scary but I really believe that situation is being aged on by two crazy grandmothers at least I hope because 3 yrs old is way to young to like girls I mean I have watched the little rascals with him and he knows about the heman woman haters club.
